I don't read without a good stack of Post-It flags at hand. As I read, if I find something interesting, I stick a flag on it. This allows me to mark something I want to think about later, without really interrupting the flow of my reading. If I have different colored flags, I might assign categories or meaning to them. So, for example green flags might indicate something related to environmental themes. When I'm done with the book or section of the book, I can go back and review the things I marked.
